How does Jumpmaster Press Calculate Shipping?
Jumpmaster Press uses ShipStation™ for all customer shipping, including international. The costs from ShipStation™ are delivered directly from our corporate carriers, The United States Post Office (USPS) and United Parcel Service (UPS). The shipping costs we receive from ShipStation™, after validating the customer's address, is based on the overall size and weight of the order.

Does Jumpmaster Press add additional fees?
No. Jumpmaster Press does not add any additional fees to the cost of shipping provided by our corporate carriers, (ie., handling, storage, materials, etc.)

Cancelled Orders:
For cancelled orders, which have already been packaged for shipping:
- Jumpmaster Press will assess a 20% restocking fee based on the retail value of the order.
​
- If the shipping label has been created, no shipping refund is available.
-If the shipping label has not been created, the full shipping cost will be refunded.
For orders cancelled before the order is packaged for shipping:
- The full purchase price, including shipping, will be refunded. (no 20% restocking fee applies)

As prices rise in every aspect of our lives, seemingly out of control, I felt the need to speak directly to you regarding this issue. As stated above, our shipping costs come from our corporate carriers and vary depending on location and weight. Unfortunately, there is very little Jumpmaster Press can do to deter these costs from going ever higher.
We've explored every viable option to reduce the costs we pass on to you and feel our current model remains the best. If a solution presents itself to reduce the price you pay for shipping, we will explore it.

Damage caused during shipping?
Unfortunately, accidents happen, and in rare cases a package may arrive damaged while in shipping. Jumpmaster Press takes every reasonable precaution in packaging each book we ship. For single book, soft cover orders, use durable padded envelopes. For single book, hard cover orders, we warp the book in bubble wrap, and use and oversized padded shipping envelope. For multi-book orders, our shipping department uses various sizes of impact-rated shipping boxes with bubble wrapped and packing paper.

If a package is delivered damaged, it is ultimately the responsibility of the carrier, not Jumpmaster Press. Even so, we will do everything within reason to resolve the situation to the customer's satisfaction. This normally takes the form of filing a claim on the customer's behalf with the shipping carrier. In the event that the claim is resolved, Jumpmaster Press is happy to a replacement product.

We understand the frustration, but as stated above, damaged shipments are the responsibility of the shipping carrier. We have to follow their process.
Does Jumpmaster Press use shipping insurance?
Typically, each package we ship is insured by the carrier up to a certain amount. Jumpmaster Press does not add additional shipping insurance, unless arranged prior to shipment buy the customer.

We receive, collect and store any information you enter on our website or provide us in any other way. Jumpmaster Press will not consider any A.I. Generated manuscripts for publication. Furthermore, in accordance with 37 CFR Part 202, Jumpmaster Press does not recognize A.I. Generated content as protected intellectual property.

Does Jumpmaster Press funnel manuscripts into "A.I. Training"?
No. Jumpmaster Press does not intentionally funnel any manuscripts to any Artificial Intelligence sources for the purposes of training any non-human devices. One of our core missions is to protect the author's intellectual property (IP) as best we can. Jumpmaster Press makes no claim of ownership for any manuscript we publish, distribute, or offer in any retail location.

Does Jumpmaster Press allow authors to submit manuscripts if they used A.I. tools?

Yes. However, Jumpmaster Press discourages the use of A.I. Generative Writing Tools in the creation of any manuscript. In our view, there is a fine line between "authored by a human" and a"generated by a non-human". Any manuscript generated, completely or in part, with the use of A.I. Generative Writing Tools will not be accepted for publication. Any manuscript found to use such tools after publication will have their publishing agreements terminated.

Does Jumpmaster Press allow cover art generated by A.I.?

On a case-by-case basis, Jumpmaster Press may allow the use of A.I. graphic generation tools. We highly encourage the use of human graphic designers and artists in the creation of cover art, but understand the financial constraints many authors experience when hiring an artist.

Does Jumpmaster Press use A.I. voices for audiobooks?

Prior to 2024, Jumpmaster Press exclusively hired human voice actors for the production of our audiobook catalog. In late 2024, we expanded into using limited A.I. generated voices for shorter content (novellas, short stories, etc.). We will continue to engage our voice actors for novel-length production.
